Retrofit

MEAF reconditioning and retrofit department offers an one-stop shop solution for your existing extrusion lines, by providing a full range of customer orientated solutions.  Supported by an extensive database of extrusion and thermoforming knowledge, combined with the latest in servo driven and touch screen technology we are able to upgrade your existing line (of virtually any brand!) in order to meet changing process demands.

UPGRADING AND ADDING HARDWARE

MEAF can upgrade any existing sheet line with a new calendaring unit, designed to integrate flawlessly with your existing extruder. Our in-house designed calendaring unit in a 45º angle is equipped with super polished contra bending chromium rollers, which are equipped with servo-motor driven rollers for accurate speed control. On request, the calander can be designed to fit a horizontal or vertical configuration.

MEAF's anti-block applicator and take-off system

An alternative to the co-extrusion with anti-static and/or anti-blocking masterbatches is the application of teflon liquid by means of a de-blocking applicator and dryer installation, providing an economically alternative to the co-extrusion.

MEAF’s applicator and dryer unit can be made according to customer wishes and is adaptable to virtually any sheet width.

ADDING CO-EXTRUDERS TO AN EXISTING EXTRUSION LINE

As the demands in the markets for ready cups and sheets are continuously changing, production companies are required to adapt accordingly.  With the addition of one or more co-extruders, it upgrades an existing line to produce multiple layers instead of acquiring a completely new extrusion line. The coextruder(s) can be used for the extrusion of multiple layers, but also to increase the output of the extrusion line.

The choice of the number and screw diameter of the coextruder(s), depend on the required layer thickness, output required, layer composition, etc.
